I've attached a script below that should do this. You can import it via the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions > Scripted Function > Import Scripted Function.

You can adjust lines 15 and 18 to your file path, I've put Notepad in as an example. The script will search for the path, start the app if it's not running, or close it if it already is running.

Hope that helps!

You'll want to put an asterisks in front of the process name, it should look like "*INJECKTOR.exe".

If you attach a hotkey to the script and manually run it, does it work?

i did try both with and without * and a few other combinations before i got it to recognize without an error.

im unsre what you mean by run manually - but the hot key does not open or close the app - however if i click on the icon with my mouse as i normally have then yes it still runs.

Strange, is this a free app I can test out on my end? If so, can you send over the download link?

hey sorry for the delayed response.

no its not a free app. its a specific hardware/software interface intergration of a 'computer'for anold 80's SSL mixing console. its the brains behind the automation of it.

This is what it is...
https://www.thd-labs.com/en

it then is inserted as a plugin to cubase music program software.

all i want it to do is open and closewith a single button.

cheers :-0

Try this one, you'll need to update the path to that app again

Could you do the following to send me some more information the window?

  • Install one of our other apps, Window Inspector: https://www.binaryfortress.com/windowinspector (it's free)
  • Open the affected application
  • Open Window Inspector
  • Hover over the affected window with your mouse so that the affected window's info shows in the Window Inspector window
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + F1 to freeze the timer in Window Inspector
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + F2 to save the info from Window Inspector to a file
  • Send me the file from the previous step

Thanks!
