I just updated to version 3.0 after having used the free version of 2.x for a few weeks. The first time I ran it I could open it and view the settings; however, since then, it starts and places itself in the system tray, but when I try to open it I get

An error has occurred while trying to load
Image:C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\img4.jpg
Out of memory.

If I click ok, it may or may not bring up the interface. If it does, I try to set the wallpapers to something different, but when I try to apply changes it shows

An error has occurred while setting your new Wallpaper.
Parameter is not valid.
C:\Users\Public\Downloads\vladstudio_inseparable_1440x900_left.jpg

then the app minimizes again.

I'm running Windows Server 2008 64bit (which is basically Vista 64bit), with a 1440x960 monitor on the left and a 2560x1600 monitor on the right.

I've just paid for both vladstudio lifetime and DisplayFusion Pro and am awaiting the DF Pro license email.

I managed to get an Unhandled exception that may help, but it's several clicks after the errors so may not be much help:

Would you be able to send me the image that is causing this error to occur? You can either post it here, or email it to me directly here:
http://www.binaryfortress.com/contact/

When does that unhandled exception occur? Is it in the Wallpaper management window, or is it when it is trying to set a random image in the background?

Thanks!

Well I managed to figure out what the problem was.
I installed version 3.0 right in the middle of doing a bunch of other stuff.
Including... (wait for it)
removing the swap file.

Guess what the Out of Memory error meant?

p.s. all better now....

p.p.s. I must protest my innocence. I was removing it to do a defrag and add it back in.
So there. I'm only a half-idiot.

I'm glad to hear you got it sorted out. I wasn't sure how that message was possible while using such a small image. Removing the swap file would definitely have an effect though. :)
