Hello!

Using displayfusion, can I set a custom resolution for my laptop monitor that is vertically shorter than my monitor length such that the top part of the screen is fully usable while the bottom part of the screen has a black bar?

My laptop has overheating issues, leading to the LED of the bottom part of the monitor burned off, developing black lines. I cannot get it fixed yet because I need my laptop for work, so I'm just looking for a bandaid solution such as this.

You can't disable part of the monitor entirely, but you could add padding to the bottom so that windows won't snap to that section of the monitor. We have a guide on splits/padding here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Help/#monitorconfig-splits
