Is there a way to password protect all the settings. DF is incredibly detailed, and I don't want my kids to experiment with the settings.

There isn't, unfortunately. There is an option in the Settings > Advanced Settings window to hide the tray icon though.

You can also disable the Settings window with a registry key if you like: http://www.displayfusion.com/KB/AdminSettings/#blockui-settings
