I'm running a vertical monitor on the left side of my main monitor. I have split the vertical monitor and use a taskbar on the bottom split. When I have a program in the bottom split, it shows on the bottom/split taskbar. But when I have a program open in the top split (with no taskbar) it shows on the other monitor instead of below on the same monitor's taskbar. My preference would be for the program to show on the same monitor (i.e., the bottom split).

I've tried but haven't been able to figure out how to do this. Is it possible? Thanks in advance for the help.

Sure, here you go...
As you can see, I have two Chrome windows open on the left monitor (which is split, with only the bottom split having a taskbar). The program in the top split window (Chrome, with MSN open) shows on the taskbar to the right. My preference would be for it to show on the taskbar of the left monitor. In other words, it should default to the taskbar of the monitor on which the split is located.

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for sending that over. If you open the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration window, you can uncheck "Taskbars" in the "Use these features with split monitors" section, and it should disable the top split's taskbar entirely and just keep the bottom split taskbar. It should then recognize all the windows on that monitor.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! That worked. I realized my problem was that I originally intended to use a taskbar on both splits, but instead of removing it by changing the setting I just deleted the taskbar from one of the splits.
