If there are other users of DisplayFusion and NIS 2011, I am wondering if you have been successful in making NIS screens open on any other monitor other than the main monitor. If so, would you please explain how you are doing it via the settings of DisplayFusion.

Thanks in advance. :-)

What is NIS 2011, and does it run under an elevated account?

NIS 2011 = Norton Internet Security 2011. There are many executables for the various functions. I have checked the privilege level of the majority of them and none are set at "Run as administrator". Setting this to "Run as administrator" does not make any difference on the window location.

For example, I set "Run as administrator" on uistub.exe which is the liveupdate module for NIS 2011. It still opens only the main monitor. Even if I have shortcut in the DF taskbar on my second monitor, the liveupdate window still opens on the main monitor.

I have this same problem with TrojanHunter and jv16 PowerTools....nothing seems to be able to make them open on any other monitor than the main monitor.

NIS apparently works everything through ccSvcHst.exe which is the memory resident module of NIS 2011. By placing ccSvcHst.exe in the Windows Location setting of DF, the various screens of NIS will open on the designated monitor. [/color]

Excellent tip! I wonder if this applies to other A/V software as well, I know in the past people have said other packages don't work correctly. Perhaps that use the same technique of a different EXE to control the interface. Thanks!
