Greetings,

Just a few days in, I'm loving DisplayFusion. It does precisely what I need to keep my workflow moving and is surprisingly stable. I try lots of goofy tools that are neato, but crash repeatedly. Haven't suffered that yet (knock on wood).

Anyway, I'm wondering if there is a way to toggle a different wallpaper. What I'm hoping for is a way to have, say, three wallpapers displayable on Monitor 1 (which is a sort of control panel monitor for my work). By using a keyboard shortcut, I'd like to "step" through the images until I arrive at the proper one that I want to use for the appropriate work I'm doing.

Maybe it's a pipe dream, but it would be very cool.

Best regards,
Matt Warren

You could do this with DF. It'd have to be a combination of show wallpapers in alphabetical order, and using the keybind ctrl flag R. You can also make a titlebar button for this. be aware however that this will change the wallpaper on every monitor.

also make sure that monitor one is only given those three wallpapers in a folder, or you can add each specifically. The UI is fairly intuitive for this.

Along these lines, Maybe Jon could make a new hotkey/ set of hotkeys to change wallpaper on a specific monitor? I could see this getting some popularity... CTRL flag 11-4 could work, or just use title bar buttons :D

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for such a quick response. I'm looking through the HotKeys Settings, but can't find an allusion to this functionality. The best I could find was "Next random wallpaper image (Pro Only)" with a default of Ctrl+Win+R. I don't see any option for moving through wallpapers sequentially.

Within the "Wallpaper" settings, I could find nothing, either. Perhaps I'm missing something. I understand the logic of, say, numbering my images, but don't know exactly how this will function. Anyway, I have a little time and this isn't mission critical, it would just be way awesome for having onscreen helpsheets. I can finally tear down all the dumb things tacked to my cubicle wall.

right under where you choose the wallpapers, theres a tickbox "show in alphabetical order". I do agree, having everything say random is a bit unintuitive since the non randomizer is buried under it :o

And if your curious, its from the desktop wallpaper settings, or left clicking the tray icon.

Aha! There it is. Yes, I hadn't expected that to be there. Thanks so much for the clarification.

If that doesn't help do what you are looking for, psot back and we can help clarify for Jon maybe implementing a new feature.

Thanks Kevin, the alphabetical order idea is excellent. Another way to get this is to create a different Wallpaper Profile for each setup, then assign a HotKey to each one and change when you'd like. :)
