Hi there. I am currently on a trial version and I am attempting to make a workaround for the bug with windows moving all my open windows to my main monitor when the monitors turn off. I think this is some bug with displayport monitors. Anyways, I've created two triggers.

The first trigger saves all my window locations when I lock windows. The second trigger restores the windows to the last save when I unlock windows.

When I lock windows I get a notification in the bottom right saying display fusion successfully saved my windows. When I unlock windows I get another saying windows were restored. But the windows are not restored. They are all still on the main monitor.

Should I be doing something differently?

Could you do a couple of tests to see if it's the Save or the Restore that's failing?

  • On the Settings > Functions tab, set key combinations on the "Save Window Positions" and "Restore Window Positions from Last Save" function.
  • Disable the Save Trigger.
  • Manually save the positions using the key combination.
  • Sleep/resume the monitors and see if the positions restore correctly.
  • If they do, enable the Save Trigger, and disable the Restore Trigger.
  • Do a sleep/resume, then manually restore the positions using the key combination to see if the positions restore correctly.

Please let me know how that goes and we'll go from there :)

Thanks!
