Hi!

I have configured some applications to open directly on a specific screen, connected to my docking station. However there are some cases that these applications are already open when I dock my laptop. I would expect that they are moved automatically to the appropriate screens when this happens. Isn't this possible?

Not at the moment. The Window Location feature was designed for newly opened windows only. We are considering adding a way to re-run Window Location rules on already open windows though, so if we're able to add that, I'll be sure to let you know.

In the meantime, you could assign key combinations to the "Save Window Positions" and "Restore Window Positions" functions on the Settings > Functions tab. That way you can save your layout before you undock, and restore it when you re-dock. This would take care of applications you had open that don't have Window Location rules setup as well.

Hope that helps!

So, have you added this into your backlog? Is there any other place that I should post this?

I sure have! No need to post it elsewhere. We keep an internal list of issues/requests, with links back to where they originated so that we can follow-up once we've fixed/implemented them :)

My desktop gets quite messy often after unlocking it. Without detaching/attaching screens. The I need to start moving the windows around to put them back where they were. That's bad! :(

Ok, double sorry over here! I was only looking at the ticket about re-running Window Location rules, and didn't re-read your original request when I responded last. I believe the latest beta can actually do what you're looking for now. Hmmm... I noticed this new feature and I tried to put something together without any luck. I posted my comments to the related thread.
