I am trying to figure out if I can save a layout and persist it (regardless of interim saves). In other words, the ability to save different layouts and recall them at any time. Is this possible?

Which layouts are you talking about saving? Desktop icons, windows, wallpaper, monitor profiles or something I missed? Thanks! :)

Sorry, this isn't possible right now. Currently it's just 1 save and a restore. :)

This is a GREAT idea... would triple my hour my hour usage of DisplayFusion as I'm always switching between tasks that involve sets of windows.

My question is how do you save a multi-monitor layout and recall it with one key combination? For instance, right now, I've setup a function for every program using three monitors split up all kinds of ways, I have a shortcut key for each item. Seems to work okay, but would that be a custome script deal? Also, I don't want to lose those functions so I need to back them up.

Have you managed to do this? I have several screen layouts and then position rules but I would love to switch form dev to debug with a hot key.

Have you guys already tried out Window Position Profiles?

Couple of notes for Window Position Profiles:
  • If you find that it's not working for certain windows, try disable the "Window Text" condition for that entry in the profile.
  • If multiple windows have the exact same process path, window class, and window text, it will not be able to differentiate between them.

Hope that helps!
