I imported the Save Window Position Profile.dfscript from a posted discussion that uses the BFS.DisplayFusion.SaveWindowPositionProfile("my profile") function, however, when it is run there is no profile created. Should it be listed in the "Window Position Profiles" tab? I do get the message that it runs successfully but the profile never shows up.

Hello,

Can you send me over the script?

Thanks!

Are you running it via hotkey, or from within the settings window?

I have tried running both via hotkey and within settings but the profile never shows up. I also tried using the name of an existing profile in the script and then ran the script - the existing profile did not register any changes even though the script ran successfully. Is there another function I can use to accomplish the same thing without using this script?

Strange! I've loaded up that script here and it seems to be working for me. Could you send over a debug log?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Try running the script
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
