Hello, dear community,
( sorry for my bad english )

A heartfelt thank you to everyone for the realization and implementation of my idea, which I mentioned here two years ago.

I've added this to our feature request list. We don't guarantee that feature requests will be implemented, or offer timelines on possible implementation. We'll be sure to let you know if we do add it to our planned features in a future version.

Thanks!

It prompted me to purchase the full version, and I have one more request:

Regarding the "Screen Dimming" / "Screen Backlight Dimming" feature:
It would be great and beneficial if one could switch directly from Profile A:
"Dim all screens" to Profile B:
"Dim everything except the current window" without having to open the DF GUI.

Best regards,
Patrick
P.s.: I would like to switch directly using a keyboard shortcut.

Unfortunately, the cumbersome sequence is as follows:
Option 1:

Then the DF GUI:
https://vapolaborium.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/photo_2_2024-11-24_20-37-26.jpg

Then we have the Option B:
https://vapolaborium.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/photo_3_2024-11-24_20-37-26.jpg

It's nice to see what this idea has become today:

"How much longer will this take?
There are major issues with the screen dimming feature — unfortunately, it flickers when it's activated, every time you click on a monitor. Here's what happens:

All monitors are dimmed.

When you click a window on Monitor 1, it flickers once.

Then, if you click a window on Monitor 2, it flickers again.

Same for Monitor 3, and so on..."

Thanks for sending that over, I can't seem to reproduce that here. Do you have the Windows Settings > Personalization > Colours > "Transparency Effects" setting enabled? If so can you try disabling that and see if it makes a difference?

It makes no direct difference.
I activated it, then deactivated,
and the problem persists as you can see in the video...

If you set the fade time to 0 ms, does that make any difference?

I had already tested all this at the beginning and it made no difference... from 0ms to 500ms or 1 sec...

  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

That's really strange, everything looks good there. We've tested this across a few machines without being able to reproduce it, so we're a bit stuck unfortunately. We'll keep it open on our list though and see if anyone else comes across the same issue, or if we can reproduce it here.

Thanks!
