Just right-click on the Taskbar you want to disable these on, click "Taskbar" and then "Show Desktop" or "Start Button". You can adjust their positions or disable them. :)

No worries, I know not everyone likes these new features, so I always have a way to disable any features. :)

Any way to disable "Show Desktop Button" on primary monitor (Windows 7)?

:))) Nice idea. Taskbars only for tasks. How do you plan to launch apps without start button? Quick launch, desktop shortcuts, keyboard hotkeys?

It's small hack. I don't know how to do it on 7, but on XP you should send special message to system window called "Shell_TrayWnd".

DisplayFusion doesn't contain any features for modifying the behaviour of the Windows taskbar itself.

There are a few different taskbar tweaking applications floating around the Internet but I haven't tested any myself, so unfortunately I can't recommend any at the moment.

Thanks!

I'd like to suggest that in windows 7 the show desktop button might should be disable by default except for when the display fusion bar is on the far right monitor either that or move the show desktop button to the left side on left monitors.

the show desktop button in windows 7 is most definitely design to be used by running your mouse into the bottom right corner of the screen.

The DisplayFusion taskbar is meant to emulate the Windows taskbar by default, but if you right-click the taskbar and navigate to "Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Show Desktop Button > Automatic", the Show Desktop button will switch to the left or right based on the position of the monitor.

Just thought I would let people know that "7 Taskbar Tweaker" (http://rammichael.com/7-taskbar-tweaker) now has the option to "Hide the 'Show desktop' button". Thanks to jerone who recommended this utility to fix another grouping issue with the main windows taskbar (http://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/feature-ungrouped-taskbar-buttons-for-windows-7/?ID=a9bb23c8-3171-4871-b89b-0a6156a13e31)

So now that DF does contain features to modify the Windows taskbars (remove transparency) is the option to remove the show desktop buttons back on the table yet? (Windows 7 & 8)

DisplayFusion actually can only disable the transparency on the DisplayFusion taskbars. It doesn't modify the Windows taskbar :(

Sorry!
