Hi there...

I want a game window to be displayed on a specific monitor.
This should be done when starting the game.

The game is in windowed mode.

But no matter what I set, it stays on the main screen.

Is there a step-by-step guide which settings have to be made in order to set this function?

With best regards
B.

Hello,

You should be able to set this up with a trigger. I'll attach a link to our guide on triggers below.

Thanks!

I have now tried to work with triggers. But unfortunately without success. The window remains on the main screen.

I have not made any other settings. Maybe it's because I only have a trial version. Or I'm missing something.

That's how I set the trigger.

Hello,

The trigger looks pretty good! Can you try unchecking the Window Class and Window Text box so it only fires off the Process Filename box and see if it works?

Thanks!

If you have a discrete video card and then some other display source like a USB card or a second PCIe card the game may be pinned to the higher performing discrete card even in windowed mode. You may need to make the choice of which video card to use within the game settings.

I deactivated the boxes, unfortunately the result is the same.

I believe that the gaming window is not recognized as a window by DisplayFusion. No titlebar buttons are displayed.

This could possibly be because the game starts a launcher first, before the actual game starts. Unfortunately there is no way to start the game without the launcher.

I am now trying another approach by creating a monitor profile that defines the primary monitor when the game starts. Is there a way to deactivate the request for confirmation or to automatically confirm the change?

That is the only problem with this approach right now.

Hello,

If you head into the advanced settings in Display Fusion, you can enable "Don't show confirmation prompt" in the Monitor Configuration section to disable those prompts.

When you go to select the filename for your trigger, there should be a blue crosshair that you can drag to select the file path based on the window. If you drag it over the main window when its open, is the same file path returned that you already have?

Thanks!
