I've looked through discussions and could only find one from 2015 about this and the solution wouldn't work for me.
The ability to Shift+Right Click > Run As A Different User doesn't exist for programs pinned to DP taskbars. I'd love to be able to launch the Active Directory Users and Computers module from a pinned taskbar icon instead of a desktop icon every time. Is there any way to configure the pinned taskbar icon to either prompt for credentials at launch or open and run with admin account credentials?
I'm in IT for work. We have our regular account we log into our ocmputers with. We have seperate domain admin accounts. I have the AD module installed on my work computer and launch it with my admin account so I don't have to constantly jump into a server to access AD. The attached image is a screenshot of how the shortcut settings are configured when I right click > Edit this Pinned Item.
Checking the box for Launch application as Administrator does not work. I'm a local admin on machine so it lauches AD under my standard domain users account that I'm logged in with which doesn't have domain admin permissions. I've tried the solution I found here https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/shift-right-click-run-as-different-user/?ID=3e9cf873-a64c-475d-838d-48f6bdcc27ba but it doesn't work. It popped a cmd prompt window asking for credentials. When I entered them the window disapepared but AD never opened.
Any help would be appreciated.
