I have a wierd display config issue seemingly with displays which are taller Y

Win10 smaller Y:
1: land
2: port
3: land flip
4: port flip

Win10 taller Y:
1: port
2: land flip
3: port flip
4: landscape

I assume this is a registry key with a numerical value. Its a problem since DF never assumes tall Y will have the settings reordered.

DF both:
1: land
2: port
3: land flip
4: port flip

Sorry for the delayed response on this, we're working on trying to reproduce this issue here. We'll keep you posted as soon as we have more news. Most likely early to mid next week.

Thanks!

it may be impossible without tall oriented monitors in pos. I have a ue590 which has a PIP in PIP mode in the hardware where 1/2 of the normally horizontal screen is partitioned left/right between 2 different inputs.

My 2080Ti amazingly has problems driving 2 4k screens (something quirky about sleeping) but does fine, just fine driving 1 4k and another 2160x1920, I was also pursuing the possibility of running dom0 on the HDMI out from the MOBO on the left 1/2 while running client environment on the right half and my main 4k.

What is happening is when you change the orientation in DF I think it is saving the wrong value for vertical by default screens in the registry. I havn't tested in 9.7.1b6 yet but I did go in and deselected Taskbars Feature in Monitor Configuration and Apply in b6 it isn't b0rking the config of which's monitor splits I handcobbled after trial and error of importing and exporting the configs over about 10 minutes

I hope this helps; let me know if you want me to experiment with trying to change the Orientation after any changes you know of! Thank you!

Ah, interesting! I have a monitor here that does PBP, so I will test with that, thanks for the pro-tip there!

I've done some testing here with my PBP monitor, but I'm not sure I can reproduce it. Is the issue that the choices in the Orientation menu are out of order? Or that if you choose Landscape it gets applied as some other orientation instead?

Ok no worries! I will do some more testing on this anyhow, but if you run into it again, please let us know :)

Thanks!
