Hi. I have a frustrating issue. I have these ALT-TAB settings:

Show on primary monitor only, show all windows
(checked) Show window text below each Alt+Tab item
(checked) Show window icons below each Alt+Tab item
(checked) Show the Desktop window

Thumbnail width: 150
Thumbnail height: 100

Generally, it works fine. But when I'm doing it a lot, sometimes I'll hit ALT-TAB and let go and instead of landing in the last window I switched from, everything gets minimized and I'm staring at my desktop wallpaper. I go to ALT-TAB again, and the desired window is now alllllll the way at the end.

It only happens randomly, and only when I'm really banging away on it. I'm working on updating 300 webforms for work, and I'm tabbing between Excel and Edge frequently as I work. Since I am doing it a lot, it crops up more frequently. It's not a major problem, but it is very annoying as it totally breaks my flow.

I'm using the latest version of DF according to the check updates. Any clue what may be going on there? I just turned off "Show the Desktop window" to see if that makes any difference. I'm not even sure what that does, but it mentions the desktop so I may as well try turning it off heh.

Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

The "Show the Desktop window" adds the entry into AltTab that lets you select the desktop, which minimizes all your windows. It sounds like that's what you were selecting.

Let me know if the issue persists after disbaling that.

Thanks!

Ahh that makes sense. If DF is adding something in there, perhaps my super fast ALT-TAB'ing was too fast for it to go to the right one after the show desktop was added, thus making me choose SD instead. So far, so good; it hasn't happened again since.

I have Win-M to show desktop so I won't miss the option being on. Thanks!
