This is ironic, as when searching to see if it had been requested before, all I found were complaints that it was a bug!

In any event would it be possible to have a "relevancy" setting to Auto-hiding the Taskbar, wherein if no windows are open on the monitor, the taskbar is hidden (aesthetically silly to have an empty taskbar), but if there are windows present, the taskbar appears and remains visible?

But whatever you do, don't let this idea take any time away from the more significant (requested by many) idea of combining taskbar icons...
