Hi all,

I've been having this weird bug where my start menu sometimes upon startup will over the entire top of my screen and nothing I do like restarting explorer.exe will resolve it...

My configuration consists of NVidia Surround enabled, auto hide windows task bar on the far right of the screen (please see screenshots). The issue also causes the Windows Taskbar to not appear as well.

Attaching DisplayFusion Output & Screenshot of the issue.

Hello,

If you exit DisplayFusion by right-clicking the DisplayFusion tray icon, a DisplayFusion taskbar, or the DisplayFusion titlebar buttons and choosing Exit, does the issue still persist?

Thanks!

Hi Owen,

It doesn't happen all the time, so next time it happens, I'll try that.

Will keep you posted.

Hey Owen,

It's been about a month and a half later and the issue finally re-occured...

It seems that I can't even get to the taskbar so I had to kill displayFusion and all relevant sub processes via task manager and kill explorer.exe and the issue still persists...

Do we believe this is an issue related to Windows 10 & having Nvidia surround installed?

I don't believe it's my install of windows since it's brand new and my previous install had the same issue.

Hi Will,

If you open up Windows Task Manager > Details, do you see a process running called "nvsmartmaxapp"?

Thanks!

Hi Owen,

The past week, it has been gotten extremely worse, now the task bar seems to jump around.

I do see the nvsmartmaxapp.exe & nvsmartmaxapp64.exe both running.
