Hi, not sure if this is the right place to put this:

If you use sticky notes in windows 7, even if you drag the note onto another monitor, the application stays "docked" in the primary monitor's start bar.

I searched for sticky, but could not find any relevant posts. Sorry if this has been mentioned before.

I am using displayfusion v3.1.5, and windows 7 build 7600

Thanks

I think it's more the nature of how the program treats the stickies. You can have 100 stickies open, but the thumbnails only show one. I wish they treated it like a gadget like they did in Vista. It's a waste of an icon. That's not to mention the fact that it disappears when you press Windows+Space. I really there was an interface like the audio mixer that let you set aero-peek settings so you could keep gadget programs visible.

Sorry, this is more a windows 7 rant than anything helpful. (Unless you guys want to add some aero-peek control panel)

Saturn2K is correct. The taskbar item doesn't represent where the stickies are located. If you have 2 sticky notes, one of each monitor, where would the taskbar item be? Unfortunately there isn't anything I can do about this, sorry. :(

No worries!

Ideally I would like to hide the taskbar icon completely, but windows 7 does not appear to allow this.

Thanks for looking into it anyway

I wonder if I could add Vista's old sticky note gadget. I hate dealing with the icon always being there.

edit: I found I can add it to Windows 7 http://www.ithinkdiff.com/get-the-vista-notes-sidebar-gadget-for-windows-7/

Thanks for bringing this back up, drakeshe. This is something that bothers a lot of people, I'm glad to see someone did something about it. :)
