I have tried changing the registry values mentioned in the linked question to no success.

is there a option in displayfusion that override the setting ?

For the DisplayFusion taskbar, you can use the "Taskbar: Flashing Taskbar Buttons Never Flash" option in the DisplayFusion Settings > Advanced Settings. Note that it doesn't have any control over the Windows taskbar though.
