Hey all,

So I have a three monitor system (Left, Mid and Right) and in another location I have another three monitor system.

I move the PC between location 1 and location 2 often depending on where I'm working.

I have two monitor configs saved and that works fine, loading the desired monitor config as they should.

However...often when I move my PC from one spot to the other I find my taskbar icons have swapped around (ie. right taskbar on left monitor). I have different icons saved to each monitor. I added special tracking icons that are just a left, mid and right png so I can easily tell which taskbars went to the wrong monitor.

So two questions;

1) When, for example, my left taskbar is on the right, and the right on the left, is there a method to move them back in one or a few steps, as opposed to doing MANY icon edits one at a time, only to have it happen again on another day?

2) How can I lock these in to specific monitors, so they don't go to the wrong place?

FYI;
- The taskbar icons are the same and in the same left.mid,right positions at both of my workspaces.
- I have three monitors in both places, the only thing that should change is the actual monitors which vary in model and resolution.
- I've included two images that show an example of the 'right' taskbar on the left monitor and my monitor profiles.
- The incorrect swapping happens often but not always.

Thanks !!!

To move the Windows taskbar back to the monitor you want it to be on, you can do the following:
  • Right-click the taskbar and make sure that "Lock the taskbar" is disabled
  • Drag it to the bottom of the monitor that you want it to be on

After doing that, the DisplayFusion taskbars should go back to the correct monitors as well, and the shortcuts should be intact.

Hope that helps!
