I have setup to use displayfusion taskbar on all monitors including my primary one since I don't like the windows 11 taskbar. But I have one big issue.
When running a boarderless fullscreen game if I move the mouse downward (towards me) even if there are no actual cursor in game, enough so that the cursor that I can't see would be over one of the window tabs on the taskbar behind the game window and hold down a mouse button (either left or right) the window it's over will pop up over the game.

For example I have recently been playing Horizon Forbidden West and in that game you often hold one or both mouse buttons down to aim and draw you bow and if I would doing that and move the mouse towards me (aiming up) enough I will pop up whatever window tab I managed to hit, pausing the game.

This is not an issue exclusive to Horizon it's just very prevelent there due to how the aiming works, it happens in other games as well. In for example Railroute to manually stop/start a train you need to hold the mouse button down on a button close to the bottom of the sceen and this is really hard to do since this is just over the taskbar and will popup the window those tab is bellow it when you try to do it.

Anyone knows how I can solve this issue?

If you add the game to the compatibility list in DisplayFusion and turn on "Treat this as a full screen application always", does that fix it up? You could also turn on "Disable DisplayFusion taskbars while this application is running" if you don't need them while playing the game.

"Treat this as a full screen application always" did not help and I would prefer to show the taskbar on the screens even when the game is running.

I did find sort of a solution and that is to turn off "Focus window when mouse is dragged over Taskbar button" under Taskbar setting but it's a bad solution as it's a feature I do make of use sometimes.
Maybe if I could turn that off just while the game is running but I couldn't find any options for that.

I was about to report this very same issue, I wasnt entirely sure what was causing it but happened in several games, my only "fix" was to turn off DP until I finish gaming, which isnt ideal because I need task bars. Personally I have the main windows taskbar on another monitor (using a Windhawk mod) so my main monitor has a DP bar, I play borderless games usually and at random points some apps where coming forward out of nowhere, I'm not entirely sure it only happens while I scroll to my bar and click, but will try this fix and see if it works.

Personally I dont notice a difference having the focus setting on or off, what does it do?

Also I play A LOT of games, so adding each game to some list is really a non negotiable, I would prefer if this gets fixed on DPs end, the bar shouldnt be activating while the apps are on borderless!

@OlofFridh Could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and then click "Clear Log"
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

I trigger it 3 times between 01:12:38 and 01:12:45
Trying to hold the mouse button pressed over a button at the bottom of the screen in Railroute and it pops up WhatsApp.
