Hello this bug pops up from time to timne and I don't know what causes it or how to fix it short of a reboot. Any ideas?

The task bar on non primary monitors overlaying windows or applications layered behind it. Really annoying.

Thanks for sending that over. Is the window maximized on that monitor, or is it just dragged below it?

It happens both maximized and partial windows. I mainly did that in the screenshot to better illustrate what was happening behind the task bar. If I restart windows explorer it fixes the issue but will pop back up again. I am not sure what is causing it, it might be when the pc sleeps. I have 6 monitors I am running on it fyi.

Ah okay, when dragging windows this is expected.

In the DisplayFusion Advanced Settings, if you turn on "Enable Prompt to Restart Explorer when Issue Detected" and then restart DisplayFusion, do you get a prompt when maximized windows drop behind?

I will need to wait until the issue pops up again. I restarted explorer through task manager earlier. Will report back, thanks

So I turned this feature on that you suggested but the bug/issue is still happening. For what its worth it seems to only happen on my secondary monitors

Also, when my pc goes into sleep mode and I turn it back on, is definitely a trigger to replicate the issue.

We are aware of this happening after waking from sleep. With that advanced setting enabled, do you get the prompt to restart explorer automatically?

Could you send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue (and wait around 5 minutes) and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
