7.2.0 Beta 3

It was working without issues and reinstalled Df. Trying to view a docu in fullscreen and the taskbar is very annoying, so the only way is to close Df or autohide the taskbar.

I thought there was a setting for the Df taskbar to fall back when the desktop loses focus or something, but can't find it.

There sure is! On the Settings > Taskbar tab, try disabling the "Show taskbar in front of full screen windows when they lose focus" option :)

Please let me know if you still run into any trouble at all.

Thanks!

Yep, that's what I had disabled. It's not working. I enabled the option and exited display fusion, relaunched Df; disabled and exited display fusion and the taskbar and continues to overlap over top of films playing in fullscreen. I'm using gomplayer and some films on youtube using firefox.

Ok, and just to double-check: Is it the DF taskbar on the second monitor that's overlapping the video, or the Windows taskbar on the Primary monitor?

Dual monitor setup. This seems to only happen with Df, windows taskbar does not overlap.

Version 7.2.0 Beta 3. I've not reverted back to previous versions to check if the issue occurs, but this is the first time it occurred so no point.

Thanks! From your screenshot, it looks like it's the Windows taskbar that's on top of the video. If you right-click in a blank spot on it, do you get the DF menu, or the Windows menu?

Ok, could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the Copy to Clipboard button
  • Open Notepad, paste the text, and save the file
  • Reply with the text file attached

Uploaded.

Attached a new screenshot of flash, with explorer windows and other fullscreen applications DF taskbar will overlap anything that's in fullscreen mode. Also I just noticed the fullscreen flash splash screen from youtube overlaps the DF taskbar, while the actual flash video is hidden below the DF taskbar. The issue also happens with rainmeter skins when loading them. The issue there is once loading a rainmeter skin it will hide below the DF taskbar in the upper most left corner of the primary monitor, but if using the Windows taskbar on the primary monitor the skins will load in the upper left most corner of the primary monitor below the taskbar.

I request that you folks adjust the troubleshooting script accordingly; remove links and name associations to word .doc files and notepad files, absolutely no need to record that information.

Thanks! I suspect this bug is related to your font scaling settings. Could you open the Windows Screen Resolution, click "Make text and other items larger or smaller," and then send me a screenshot of that window?

Eventually found time... it seems the issue is related to font scaling, I've tried different High-DPI resolutions and the taskbar overlapping doesn't reoccur from 100% to 115%; though, I've not tried anything above 135% where I was experiencing the issues. Also, the text in the DF menus and settings do not scale to what is required, despite the application claiming to be dpi-aware. Either way Micrshafts HIgh-DPI mode is really buggy... and obviously hasn't been fine tuned.

Ah, interesting! I'll re-test this issue at 150% DPI then :)

Thanks!

Ok, I've confirmed the issue with full screen YouTube in Firefox. For some reason it's not getting detected as full screen. I've added it to our list :)

Re: Rainmeter: Does it also only have the issue you mentioned at 150% DPI, or does that also happen at 100%?

Re: DisplayFusion UI and font scaling: Which parts of the Settings window aren't scaling properly at 150% DPI? Most of the controls look scaled to me when I set my Win 8.1 machine to 150%.

Thanks!
