I'm using DisplayFusion Pro 8.0 (Beta 4) on Windows 10 Pro x64 Build 14267.rs1 with dual monitors. I'm trying to work out how DisplayFusion's settings related to the Windows taskbar colour and transparency work with (or against) Windows' own settings for taskbar colour and transparency.

And, just to add to the confusion I have Start10 installed!

Ideally, what I want is this:

1. The taskbar colour to be based on the current wallpaper image
2. The taskbar colour to be the same on both monitors
3. The taskbar transparency and degree of blurring of the wallpaper image under the taskbar to be the same on both monitors

I've tweaked the Windows > Personalisation > Colours settings as follows:

● Automatically pick an accent colour from my background: On
● Show colour on Start, taskbar, action centre and title bar: On
● Make Start, taskbar and Action Centre transparent: On

And in DisplayFusion I have set the following:

● Options > Aero Colour Settings > Change the Aero colour based on the current wallpaper image
● Taskbar > Enable Multi-Monitor Taskbars
● Taskbar > Taskbar Opactity = 80%

With these settings in place I have the following problems:

1. The taskbar colour is based on the current wallpaper image, but the right-hand monitor (with the DisplayFusion taskbar) is a slightly different colour to the left-hand monitor (with the Windows taskbar). The difference in colour changes with the wallpaper image; sometimes it is quite pronounced, other times it is unnoticeable
2. The DisplayFusion taskbar does not blur the wallpaper image beneath

I think it is Start10 that is responsible for the blurring of the wallpaper image beneath the taskbar, but it doesn't appear to have any effect on the DisplayFusion taskbar.

Should it be possible to set the taskbar properties as described above?

Kind regards,

/Neil

Could you try disabling the "Options > Aero Colour" setting in DisplayFusion? You don't really need that enabled if you've got the "Automatically pick an accent colour from my background" option enabled in the Windows settings.

I'd also set the DisplayFusion taskbar opacity back to 100%. That should make it pretty close to the Windows taskbar (try the latest beta as well: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta).

Please let me know if you still run into any trouble at all.

Thanks!

I don't know if there is a fix for this, but I'm having the same problem and there is no Aero function under options. I'm using the DisplayFusion Pro 10 Beta 6 atm.

Hello,

We've moved that Aero Colour Mode to our Advanced Settings, as noted here: https://www.displayfusion.com/AdvancedSettings/?Version=9.9.99.107#general_aerocolourmode

Can you try setting that to 0, and see if it helps?

Thanks!
