I just woke my PC from sleep with displayfusion.com running but the 2nd monitor taskbar never appeared. I had to restart it. On Windows 11. What would cause this

Is this happening every time you wake your computer from sleep?

Thanks!

It doesn't happen every time.

I just recreated this issue by switching on another display (3rd one) screen flashed and it was gone.

I don't know if my issue is the same but for me no taskbars show up on any of my monitors (except for the real Windows 11 one, of course). I also frequently switch screens, mostly between my TV only and my three desktop monitors

Enabling and disabling additional taskbars and resetting them in DisplayFusion yields no result.

It seems to be happening a lot lately, not just from sleep either.

Could you send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

Hi Tim,

We've released a new beta that fixes up some taskbar issues, can you try it out and let me know if the issue persists? Here's the link: https://www.displayfusion.com/ChangeLog/Beta/

I was having the same issue - taskbar not appearing on splits. The Beta seems to have fixed it.

That said, the taskbar does seem to be pretty glitchy. When I do certain things, it seems to flash. Not sure exactly how to explain it.

OK, so more information after upgrading to the current Beta.

I have an ultra wide monitor with 3 parts (2 splits). The center split seems to be using the Windows Taskbar. The right and left splits are using the DF taskbar, but are acting strange - I can vaguely see the Windows 11 Taskbar underneath (eventhough the settings are set to 100% opaque) and if I do certain things, like right click on the task bar it brielfly glitches and shows the Windows 11 taskbar underneath.

Any ideas to fix these issues?

Oh, and somewhere along the way the clock disappeared (it appears to be hiding behind the DF taskbar on the right split.

Installed update Pro 10.1 (Beta3). Getting better. Most icons are showing on second monitor. Still missing are, Bluetooth, ASUS AI suit3, Nvidia Control Panel, and Argus Monitor. It appears that you are winding down on this project. It is workable for me in it's present state. Thank you for your persistance.

Could you send me over a video of the taskbar while booting up DisplayFusion? I'm curious how it interacts with the Windows taskbar when it first starts up.

Thanks!
