Taskbar not showing all windows

I have Taskbar Mode set to "All Taskbars show all windows" but a few applications never show on the DF taskbar. I'm not sure when I first noticed it but I think it was some point earlier in the DF 10.0 beta round.

These aren't UWP (W10 universal apps) which I know have their own issues.

Any tips on where to start troubleshooting would be appreciated!

My system is Windows 10 (21H2) and DF 10.0 Beta 14.

The one I always notice is the genealogy application RootsMagic
It's definitely not a standard Windows UI which is likely part of the issue. If there are other details about the app that would be useful let me know.

Could you do the following to send me some more information about the window that's having this issue?

  • Install one of our other apps, Window Inspector: https://www.binaryfortress.com/windowinspector (it's free)
  • Open the affected application
  • Open Window Inspector
  • Hover over the affected window with your mouse so that the affected window's info shows in the Window Inspector window
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + F1 to freeze the timer in Window Inspector
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + F2 to save the info from Window Inspector to a file
  • Send me the file from the previous step
