Hi all,
Apologies if this has already been covered, I’ve done a fair bit of searching and found several threads on taskbar behaviour but nothing quite matching my scenario.
I’m running an ultrawide monitor split into three regions using DisplayFusion, with multi-monitor taskbars enabled. The centre taskbar is my primary (Start menu, system tray, etc.) and the left/right taskbars are used mainly for pinned shortcuts via DisplayFusion.
The issue occurs when exiting a fullscreen application (in this case a game that does not support borderless windowed mode). Upon exit the taskbar briefly reverts to a single full-width Windows taskbar, then DisplayFusion restores the three split taskbars after a short delay. Also when the taskbar temporarily reverts to full width the pinned DisplayFusion taskbar shortcuts still appear in their left/right positions.
Is there any way to prevent the taskbar from reverting to a single full-width bar on exiting fullscreen or keep the split taskbar layout persistent?
Thanks

Hi Owen, zip file attached.
Something I completely neglected to mention (and probably going to be the problem) is that I use other third party applications to modify taskbar behaviour.
Open shell/classic shell to restore windows 7 style start menu
Explorer patcher so i can adjust task bar height
TranslucentTB to make the centre taskbar (what becomes my main taskbar) translucent

Thanks for sending that over, it looks like you have this advanced setting turned on: Application Hooks: Pause Global Hooks on Full Screen: 1
If you revert that to default and restart DisplayFusion, does that fix it up?

So that actually stopped this behaviour when exiting full screen on chrome (youtube video) however it still does it when exiting a game running in fullscreen mode.
Upon exiting the game the taskbar is initially still in the spilt configuration, changes to a singular wide taskbar , then goes back to the split taskbar (as if display fusion was being reloaded)
Do you have any compatibility settings enabled for the game?
