I've tried some other products and have come back to DisplayFusion to try it again, which is why I'm writing a few comments lately.

Beta 19... the multiple preview thumbnails on secondary taskbars are great, but I'm missing a couple of things compared to the default Windows 7 behavior. We use Communicator a tonne here at work (akin to Windows Live Messenger), and I often have four or five windows open. I like to keep it on my second monitor, which is why these issues are annoying to me. :-)

1. I'm missing titles over the preview windows. These are a huge timesaver when I have a bunch of conversation windows or email messages open at one time.

2. The actual preview thumbnail doesn't flash on attention. When a new message comes in to Communicator, the group of icons on the taskbar flashes just like on the main taskbar. However, when I hover over the icon group on the main taskbar, all thumbnails display and the window that caused the flashing is highlighted (see attachment). In the DF taskbar, none of the windows is highlighted, and I have to click into each window to see where I received the new message.

See the attachment for an illustration of both nits.

Both of these are on our list of things to fix :)

They won't be ready in time for 3.3.1, but we'll hopefully have them done for 3.3.2.

Thanks!

Awwww....

If I could prioritize, I would say that the flashing is a bigger annoyance than the missing titles.

Thanks for listening!

Cool, no problem! Hopefully we'll be able to fix both at the same time :)

The previews have the Close button, it shows up when you mouse over the preview :)

Hrm. I don't see that with beta 20. But I think previews are broken in this version. As soon as I mouse over them, they disappear.

Mine are ok in Beta 20. If you get a chance could you restart DisplayFusion and/or your computer to see if it fixes them up?

Yep, you can remove #3 from this list. Somehow I had changed the preview style to Vista from 7.

Was just going to let you know to change it to Windows 7 style :)

Thanks for the follow-up!

As of 3.4.0 beta 1, you can remove items 1 and 2 from this list, too. I have my flashing previews and window titles in the previews, and Communicator is so much easier to use now!

I haven't tried any blinking, but the new thumbnails in 3.4.0 beta 1 look great! Keep up the good work!

All we need now is Aero Peek :)

The highlight color when mousing over a preview seems to have changed in this beta, and not for the better, but I'm sure you guys are just playing around with that.
