I'm aware that functions that "maximize" buttons don't actually maximize, even if you set it to 100% width an 100% height

also this is a bit conflicting with the original windows maximize button since you can click it and if you click it again it "minimizes" so you previously definded fake maximize

but it would be really useful to make a custom function that "maximizes" a window for example on 2/3rd of the left side of the screen and when you click the button again, it restores the original position that the window had before

additionally it would be nice if the clickable area für the title bar buttons (with and height) were customizeable so you could overlay the original maximize button with a custom one to toggle those functions

is this possible right now and i'm missing something?

It's possible to create a scripted function that would set a size, then set it back the next time you run it. Would you like me to whip up an example so that you can see how it works?

You can change the TitleBar Button offsets in the Advanced Settings window, but it's not possible to put them over the caption buttons, sorry.

Actually I'm wrong on that, try an offset of something like 115, that should put it more or less over the maximize caption button.

Yes, i'd like to see a small example how such scripted function works - i can fiddle the rest together by myself then :)

i figured out already that i can move a button over the orginal button - but it does not match the size properly and also the other buttons are not offsetted correctly then

it would be helpful if you could define a per-icon-size and offset

currenly you can only make spaces, make the icons small or big and offset them al a whole - but not one by one

Ok, will do! I need to wait for the next beta, as we're adding an extra scripting function in for something that's needed for this script. I'll let you know as soon as it's ready.

I'm not sure if we can easily add settings to change the size of the buttons but I'll check on that as well.

Ok, here you go!

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions tab, click the "Download Scripted" button
  • Double-click the script named "Move Window to Left Side at 66% (Toggle)"
  • Give it a key combination and click OK
  • Optionally, select it, click "Toggle TitleBar Button" (to add it to the caption bar of every application)
  • Click Apply and test it out

For the TitleBar Buttons, you can change their size with the "Button Size Override" settings in the Advanced Settings window.

Thanks!
