Hi. I just upgraded from win10 to win11 and now the DF tray icons are a bit too far apart. Is there anyway to bring them closer together? DF taskbar is on top, win11 on bottom in the pic. Thanks!

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks for sending that over. If you close OpenShell and restart DisplayFusion, do they look correct?

just tried it and closing open shell then restarting DF produces no change to tray icon spacing

Could you send me over a backup of your settings? You can grab them via the DisplayFusion Settings > Options > Export Settings

Thanks for sending that over, I tested with your settings here and it matches the Windows taskbar. I think rather than the icons on the DisplayFusion taskbar being spread too far apart, the one's on the Windows taskbar are pushed together. Is OpenShell controlling that, or another 3rd party app you have installed?

yes, since the win11 default tray spacing is now spread out I've used Windhawk to correct it back to the win10 spacing. Sounds like you're saying DF incorporates the win11 default but not the registry-modded spacing setting in use. Any idea of a hack or workaround for the DF tray here?
