Hi I've set up a series of trigger rules that move newly launched applications to designated screens. While working initially, frustratingly the monitor ID is regularly disappearing from all of these rules (see attachment). I am not sure why or when but it happened most recently after I disconnect/reconnected to my monitors. Is there a fix/workaround for this? I don't want to have to constantly reinput the monitor ID into these rules!

If your monitors are getting disconnected, those triggers will revert to no monitor ID's until they get put back to the same locations they were saved in. When you re-connect your monitors, are the monitor ID's getting swapped?

Thanks!

Hi Owen, it is happening when I reconnect to my monitors, ie the rules are retained but the monitor ID has dropped out

Could you send me over a copy of your troubleshooting info while it's working, and another when it's broken? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks!

Hi sorry it has taken me 3 year (!!!) to reply, must be some sort of record..... however this problem is still gnawing away, with the monitor number assigned to some (a minority) of the triggers just dropping off. I've done as requested and attached the troubleshooting file. Thanks
