I searched and haven't seen anyone else report this issue so maybe it's just a me thing or maybe it's not a feature that's widely used. I have a hotkey set for the "Turn Off Displays" function and when I press it my screen goes off for a second and comes back on. Before I upgraded to Windows 11 it worked great. As a workaround right now I'm using AutoHotKey and nircmd to get the same functionality and it works great.

Hi Alex,

Are you using a scripting function to do this? If so, could you send it over so I can test it out on my end?

Thanks!

Wow. It's been so long since I originally set this up I completely forgot this wasn't a default function. It is in fact a scripted function. I've attached it. Now that I know it's probably some problem with the script in Windows 11 I would attempt to fix it myself but that's really over my head. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for sending that over. I tested it out on my end and it seemed to work okay. Do you have any issues when letting your computer idle and go to sleep, or just when using the script?

Thanks!

Thanks for testing it. I don't have any issues with idle. I don't ever put my PC to sleep but I tested it and it seemed to work fine. I just use this script as a convenience feature to immediately sleep my screens when I'm done for the night rather than powering them down or waiting for them to time out by idling. It's not a huge deal. If it's working fine on your end it must be some issue with my system. I'll play around with it some more and see if I can come up with anything.

Hi Alex,

It looks like we were able to reproduce this on our end, it does seem to be related to Windows 11. I've added it to our list to look into, so if we have any news on it going forward, we'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks!
