I am on a trial of DisplayFusion. I really like it so far. But I have hit a roadblock. I have been able to save monitor profiles and have 5 of them for various meeting rooms/desks/focus rooms in my office. Today, I am in a new location and need to create a new profile. However, after I change and get the settings correct, when I click "Save Profile", it thinks I want to overwrite a profile. I do not want to do that. It does not give me a choice to save a new profile. I am likely going to need to have ~10 profiles once I purchase a license.
I found an old discussion on this, but it was from 2018 and didn't see a resolution.
Can someone help with this?

It looks like DisplayFusion is detecting your new monitor config as the already existing "Mason Office - 441" profile. You could just rename this profile if that works too. You can't have 2 monitor profiles with the same layout with different names unfortunately.

Yeah, I logged on this morning and it detected it as being in 441. But I wasn't. I'm in a different location. So what I would like is for it not to think I'm in 441. I need to keep that 441 profile for when I'm in that room. But it won't let me change to a different profile. And I don't want to rename it.
That's interesting, what are the monitor layouts in each room? Can you let me know the positions of the monitors and the differences between the 2 rooms? I'm interested to find out why DisplayFusion thinks they're identical. Thanks!

Based on your question, it is likely due to that the setup is identical. Basically it is this: We just moved to a new office. All desktop areas and side focus rooms have a 100% identical setup. I have my laptop, and then at each work station and focus room, there are two Dell 27" monitors. All the same model numbers. So, I assume that might be why it is detecting that.
If the setups are the same what are you hoping to use the different monitor profiles for? Maybe there's a way we can work around having the duplicate profiles.

I basically want to unhook from one desk, move to a focus room (different desk), and have the apps as they sit on the desk I was just at, show up on the same monitors in the new hook up/focus room.
For example, my setup goes like this: 1=small laptop screen, 2=27" monitor, 3=27" monitor. And that all sits left to right. If Outlook is on monitor 2 at my desk, when I unhook and go to a focus room and hook back up, I want Outlook to be on monitor 2. That is not happening. Outlook is shifting to monitor 1. When I chosse to load a profile I saved, (where Outlook was on monitor 2), it still shows up on monitor 1.
Are you using Window Position Profiles right now to move your windows around? If so you could create a different profile for each location/layout.

I'm not. And this is tied to my other request at the moment that you answered. I think what I need to do is this:
When I am at my main desk, I have a Monitor Profile Main Desk and should have a Windows Position Profile (WPP) Main Desk enabled. So two steps.
Then when I undock from my main desk and go to a Focus Room, I change to Monitor Profile Focus Room 1 and enabled WPP Focus Room 1, and so on.
Correct?
