Now Classic Shell has been updated to 3.6 with "full" support for W8 can you do same?
Secondly it would be really nice if DF could check for installed version and use that if exists.

I haven't had a chance to test the latest version of Classic Shell yet, but I'll hopefully be able to do that soon. Interesting idea about using the installed version of Classic Shell as well. We'll look into that!

Just tested it out, and it's looking pretty good. I'll add this to our list to see if we can integrate the newest version into DisplayFusion.

Thanks!

Keith 4.2 beta 1 doesn't seem to contain any update.
What is your plan for this?

We haven't had a chance to work on it yet unfortunately. Updating the Classic Shell integration takes a significant amount of work, but I'll definitely post an update when we have one.

Thanks, and have a great weekend!

You've probably already noticed, but starting with DisplayFusion 5.0 Beta 2, we're no longer bundling a custom version of Classic Shell, and DisplayFusion will instead use the existing installation. There's one minor issue where the Programs flyout opens to the left, but we'll hopefully be able to work with the Classic Shell team to get that issue fixed up.

Thanks!

Keith,
Yes I have noticed how you have changed your integration. Apart from the issue I mentioned in the other post about the settings dialog behind the DF taskbar it works fine for me.
However I see in the DF settings dialog that you imply that you are going to support other Start menu systems as well. I think this is a good move; any details of which ones yet or a time line?

We're not exactly sure which ones we're going to support yet, as we still need to do some more research, but we'll hopefully have support for a couple more by the time 5.0 final rolls around :)
