Since 10.0-Beta18, DF breaks ESET BPP (Banking & Payment Protection) functionality.
The protected browser becomes extremely slow at first then freezes completely, to the point it cannot be closed, only killed from Task Manager.
Keyboard also breaks in ALL other applications.
Found these in the logs:
HIPS log:
2022-12-20 5:08:09 PM;C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusion.exe;Get access to another application;C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe;Blocked;OPP protected process;Modify state of another application
BPP log:
2022-12-20 5:13:15 PM;Blocked;C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion\Hooks\AppHook64_3A82DE47-4FC3-4D05-AD4B-1AAD0766C93C.dll;5766EE477ACE552B9A3AD02CA44E8FDABA8A1434;Untrusted file;
It is working fine with v10.0-Beta17c.
We'll need to reproduce this locally to be able to look into it. Is this a free application, or is there a free trial we can use to test out?
Thanks!

Thank you for taking this on!
There is a free 30-day trial: https://www.eset.com/int/home/free-trial/
I tested this out on my end, but it seemed to run really slow with freezes regardless of whether DisplayFusion was running or not. I'm on version 16.0.24.0, are you running the same?

Yes, I'm using the same version and BPP is working OK with DF Beta17.
Slowing and freezing only happens with Beta18.
It looks like we'll have this fixed up for our next beta, so we'll let you know when that's released.
Thanks!

Awesome, thank you!
I always keep an eye on new beta versions so I'll make sure to test it as soon as it's released.
We've just released a new beta, can you try it out and see if the issue persists?
Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the update, but unfortunately, it still doesn't work.
The symptoms are the same, browser freezes completely, but the logs are a little bit different with the new version:
HIPS
Time;Application;Operation;Target;Action;Rule;Additional information
2023-01-13 8:34:45 PM;C:\Windows\System32\wbem\WmiPrvSE.exe;Get access to another application;C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe;Blocked;OPP protected process;Modify state of another application
BPP
Time;Action;File;Hash;Information;User
2023-01-13 8:34:21 PM;Blocked;C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion\Hooks\AppHook64_4222D369-618C-4DEE-B24D-589DFF1657CA.dll;B56E5381DC5021656F41EC25B2AC04FFE5587652;Untrusted file;
These entries flood the corresponding logs while a BPP browser is open.
I just noticed that the HIPS entries are also there with Beta17c though, but that doesn't seem to cause a problem.
Also Beta19's installer is not working, it can't install webview2 during the install and won't start up either because the download location is inaccessible.
I managed to install it by downloading it manually from the link in the error popup.
Webview2 has never been able to install in older versions either though but DF still worked fine.
