For applications such as Skype that can be minimised to the sytem tray, I'm having problem when I restore them from the system tray.

If I restore the application from the system tray on the secondary monitor it becomes unusable.
I am able to move the window but I'm not able to interact with the contents with either the mouse or the keyboard.
I can't select any of the menu items (although they respond to the mouse by becoming highlighted if I hover over them).
I can't do anything within the applications window.

The only thing I can do is shutdown the application completely and restart.
I've even tried closing displayfusion when it happens but the application stays unresponsive.

If I open the application from the system tray on the primary monitor everything is OK.

Any suggestions?

Sorry, I have no suggestions yet to resolve this issue. But I can confirm that I have the exact same problem as Simon. :(

I've also noticed that there are more problems with maximizing from system tray on a non-primary monitor. For example JDownloader doesn't want to maximize unless you Triple-Click instead of Double-Click the tray-icon. I believe both problems are somehow connected with each other.

The Skype issue is confirmed and we'll hopefully have a fix soon. Does this occur with other programs as well?

@cH40z-Lord: I will check out JDownloader as well.

Thanks!

That's great. Skype is the main culprit but I've gone though all my system tray icons and the only other one that has the problem is the XAMPP Control Panel (insert nerd comment here, I can take it!) everything seems to be OK.

Hehe, I'll check out the XAMPP Control Panel as well and see if we can fix it up too :)

The XAMPP Control Panel seems to be working ok for me. What issues were you having?

Just wanted to follow-up, Skype should now work fine when opening it from the DisplayFusion tray icon.

The fix for this is included in 3.5 Beta 7.

Thanks!

Keith, just updated to 3.5 Beta 7 and Skype works perfectly when restored from the system tray on the second monitor, as does XAMPP control panel.

Thankyou for the quick turnaround.

Skype works better now but I think there is still something wrong. When I double-click Skype on my Windows taskbar it will just open - now, when I double-click Skype on my DF taskbar it will open and respond to anything I want but it will also show a small notification on the mainscreen showing me that I have no new conversations. The notification is only visible if you single-click your tray icon while Skype is already maximized.

I've also figured out that Steam has the same issues. When double-clicking the tray icon it will open and work but the contextmenu of the tray icon will also opened, which is a bit annoying.

JDownloader has been also tested and it's still not working with Beta 7 - it has the same issues as before. It won't maximize unless I triple-click the system-tray icon on my DF taskbar - double-clicking on my Windows taskbar is working.

Hope it can be fixed somehow :) If it's not possible then it's not that bad, don't wory!

Steam is now working in Beta 8 - unfortunately JDownloader is still not working, it requires 3 clicks to maximize it.

Is it because it's a Java-based application ?

Not sure yet, we're still working on fixing that one up. I'll post an update as soon as we have some more info.

Thanks!
