Folks,

I have been having a nagging problem w/ VMware workstation 11 on my secondary monitor when the screen goes into screensaver or sleep/resume, both the main (home) and any VM's I have redraw on the main monitor. I use the secondary monitor for VMW only, so this is very frustrating. This has been the case since windows 8.1 classic shell and now Win 10 CS.

Since Windows 10, when it goes to the main screen, the icon may or may not show up on the primary taskbar, and sometimes when I click the next region key (between min and close buttons on focus) it will not go to the 2.1 display (stuck on 1.1 or 1.2).

If it matters, they are both 4k monitors using Nvidia graphic cards, and I just updated the geforce drivers yesterday.

In any case help in this area greatly appreciated.

BTW - I tried the maximize/minimize cycle but that did not help..

If you close DisplayFusion do you still have this issue? This almost sounds like a VMware issue, but I'm not sure.

Jon,

The issue happens only w/ DF. I just put the new beta 4 on, and it seems more stable. I fiddled earlier today and found a "fix"

I added a condition into Windows location, forcing all windows onto monitor 2, maximize, and mode all windows (as workstation windows in the main application) and now it stays on the second monitor in sleep mode and lock screen! I put the exact application path in there.

I guess the combo of maximize, force all windows, and move to second monitor did it.

Now to install WS12 and see how it works w/ my 4k monitors.
