I recently noticed that I'm not able to adjust the volume on my 2nd monitor using Volume2
http://code.google.com/p/volume2/
Is there any chance you can take a look and see if there is anything you can do to enable functionality?
- Scroll the mouse in the taskbar area to increase or decrease volume, click middle button to mute/ unmute. All works on the Primary taskbar but nothing on the displayfusion taskbar.

Thanks for considering :)

Until Keith jumps in with his expertise this is what I did.
Add your default player to Volume2's application list then select Application List in the settings menu.
Open your default player and drag it to your secondary screen.
Now you still have to use the main taskbar but you can alter the volume of your player. If you want the volume window to appear on the second monitor, click on the second monitors taskbar then slide your mouse pointer back onto the main taskbar and scroll as per normal.

Thanks for the response Alan,
I was hoping to be able to control the system volume on the 2nd monitor just like I can on the primary monitor - its not a big issue as I only have 2x24" 1080p displays but I figured I'd ask and see if there was something within DF that would accommodate hooking into the app from the other screen through the taskbar.

When Keith comes onto the board he will possibly have a better solution. The method I wrote is just what I use.

Not sure if we'll be able to make this work, but I've added it to our list and we'll certainly check it out.

Thanks!

I contacted the developer of Volume2 and he gave details on modifying the Volume2 Config.ini
I had to modify a line to include the GUID from my installation of DisplayFusion - this was obtained by using Winspy (http://www.catch22.net/software/winspy-17)
ExScrollObjects=ActualTools_MultiMonitorTaskbar,DockBackgroundClassTrueStretch,Shell_SecondaryTrayWnd,DFTaskbar:5be04fff-352c-4de8-8295-5b90250ccd42

Now I can control the volume with my mouse scroll from the DF taskbar on my 2nd monitor :)
Figured I'd let you know I got a partial resolution and pass on the details
- the developer was very helpful https://www.facebook.com/volumesqr

The Only Problem is that this GUID Changes every time DF is Restarted or the PC is Rebooted :(

Thanks :)

Is there something in DisplayFusion that does not change that could be leveraged by Volume2 ?
I noticed in the Troubleshooting that there is a Notify GUID: xxxxxxx but this changes also each relaunch.

Unfortunately we made the class name change between restarts to avoid some other conflicts. We should be able to add it to the troubleshooting info so that it's easier to find though :)

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and you should now be able to see the taskbar's class name in the DisplayFusion Troubleshooting info, under the "Taskbar [monitor #]" section.

Thanks!

Hi all, I am author Volume2. You can download latest version of Volume2(1.1.4.347 or beta 1.1.5) https://irzyxa.wordpress.com/downloads, where you can use * for GUID

ExScrollObjects=Shell_SecondaryTrayWnd,DFTaskbar*

Wolverine1977 and irzyxa's resolution to this issue is correct; appending "DFTaskbar:*" or "DFTaskbar*" to line "ExScrollObjects=" in Volume2's Config.ini satisfies this. Terrific guys, thanks! I was getting worried. Two top shelf software's, working together! This is the only mouse wheel over taskbar volume control solution that has meaningful features. And, the marriage of the two makes life very fun. I'd been scouring the internet for this.

Again, thanks everyone.
