I'm running DF 3.1.5 on XP SP3 with dual monitors.
It seems to work fine except every so often (several times per day) the wallpaper images just disappear. If I open the main dialog and hit Apply (and confirm the resulting prompt) the images are restored. This is annoying.

After reading this thread:
http://www.binaryfortress.com/Forum/index.php?topic=1239.0
it occurred to me that this bug probably has to do with the fact that my normal system profile does not have administrative privileges on this machine.
OTHER CLUES:
There is no entry for DisplayFusion or Binary Fortress at this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data
however this folder does exist:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\DisplayFusion
Similarly, in my registry, I have no reference to DisplayFusion or Binary Fortress at this location: HKCU\Software
However, if I open RegEdit as administrator this key does exist:
HKCU\Software\Binary Fortress Software\DisplayFusion

This all tells me that DisplayFusion must have been installed with Admin privileges, but is probably running as normal user. It therefore is not looking in the correct locations for info it needs (or doesn't have sufficient privileges to write the temp file where it needs to be). The question is, what should I do to fix this? Should I just manually copy the reg data from the Admin HKCU to the normal HKCU? Or should I just try to reinstall it without doing so as Admin?

[UPDATE: After posting this message, I uninstalled DF and tried to reinstall it just with "Elevated" privileges, but not as Admin. This is not possible. The installation aborted with the message that I must be logged in as administrator when installing this program. So another workaround is needed.]
Thanks

You should be installing DisplayFusion with admin rights, but running it as a regular user with normal user permissions. Do you get a UAC prompt when starting DisplayFusion?

Sorry, I see now that you are using XP, so I guess you don't have any UAC prompts. :) Try right-clicking on the DisplayFusion shortcut, and make sure there are no options selected on the Compatibility tab. It sounds like "Run as Administrator" might be checked.

I uninstalled the app, then re-installed it, this time using "Add/Remove Programs" (as opposed to just clicking on the installer directly). This resolved the problem.
