recently i update my windows to 24h2, and after a while noticed that my wallpapers are not changing on an interval i set on desktop wallpaper settings, tried to update display fusion to 11 beta 7 and still not working, the workaround is that i have to choose the monitor profile (which there's only one monitor profile) everytime i boot up my pc or else the wallpaper will not change automatically

I'm experiencing the same, but I only get different screens by rebooting or restarting windows. Changing the Profile does nothing. In Wallpaper setup, you can see DF changing the photos but it does not change the screens.

according to this

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/status-windows-11-24h2#3370msgdesc

is displayfusion also confirmed as one of the application affected by this?

I have similar problems since upgrading to 24H2 too.
I alwys have to set my monitor setting via the windows dialogue.
Then DisplayFusion gets the wallpapers correct again.

It would be nice to get a reply from the devs that they have tested and cleared or let us know when they push a new beta with a resolution. I have held off installing as I read there was an issue with third-party wallpaper changers. If needed I can install onto a Windows 11 VM and send in logs; however, this is not a per instance issue and is directly related to and acknowledged by Microsoft after isntallation of 24H2 on Windows 11.

Thanks for y'all's hardwork. I have used this product for at least a decade and while I only use it for changing wallpapers across multiple monitors now, I do miss it.

FYI - I just submitted a ticket with the devs to keep the request above board. If I get anything in the ticket and they haven't updated this post, I will update y'all.

Thanks for sending that over. Could you send a debug log as well? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

At 8:28 I signed out of windows and back in. The screens would not change. That is the first Zip file

At 8:33 I changed the background color to red and back to black, the screens were now changing. That is the Zip file with the 2 at the end.

Maybe overkill but there ya go.

We've released a new beta that might fix this up, can you try it out and let me know if the issue persists? You can grab it here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/

Just installed the beta. Rebooted the computer. NO CHANGE. I tried changing the Screen Profile within DF and nothing. I still have to go to Windows settings, then personalization, then in Solid background I have to change to a different color (picture does not work, nor slideshow). At this point DF kicks in. I then change the solid color baack to black. From that point on DF works just fine.

Installed the latest beta yesterday.
No change in behaviour regarding the reload of my dual monitor profile.
Same as before:
I switch from 2 monitors to my third monitor. This works as expected.
Switching back from my third monitor to the first 2 does not load the monitor config and the wallpapers too.
