Your product is great, been using for many years! I upgraded to 12.0.1, from 11.1.1 on my Windows Server 2022 Remote Desktop server. I have a 4K monitor split into 4 1080p. No DisplayFusion Pro wallpapers show up anymore or split into the 4 partitions, I use Bing and NASA mostly, but tried them all. I only see the Windows wallpaper or a solid color if I disable the windows wallpaper. I have attached my debug info. Looking forward to a patch, thanks.:)

In the DisplayFusion Settings > Advanced Settings window, could you set the "Disable Wallpaper Transition Code" option to "No special wallpaper transition code will be used" and let us know if that fixes it up?

Thanks!

I have the same issue. (I mean, not exactly, but I have twin monitors behaving exactly as described.)

I tried the suggested fix. It didn't work.

Windows 11 Pro. DisplayFusion Pro 12.01.

Could you send over a debug log for this issue?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and then click "Clear Log"
  • Try to apply the wallpaper and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
Thanks!

The log was collected at 10:27 AM, Pacific time, Tuesday.

I also tried this, suggested via email replay from Owen M.

This usually happens if the Windows transcoded wallpaper file on your machine is corrupt, please try the following:

In File Explorer, paste this into the address bar and press Enter: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\
Delete the "TranscodedWallpaper" file in that folder
Reboot the machine
Try applying the DisplayFusion wallpaper

Didn't work.

But I noted in the process that DisplayFusion is no longer auto-launching. (I confirmed it's still in my Startup apps.)

Ok, thanks for trying that! If you roll back to DisplayFusion 11.1.1, does the wallpaper work correctly again? You can download it here: https://www.binaryfortress.com/Data/Download/?DownloadID=0194b3f6-3ce1-76c8-a1e2-01a8931823b7&Log=0

Done,and Wallpaper is back.

I'm a little disappointed: I would have bet actual cash the issue was with a Win11 update, not with DisplayFusion. :-)

EDIT: Weirdly, Context Menu doesn't work after the downgrade. To be clear, it's there ... it just doesn't launch anything.

Glad to hear 11.1.1 is working, at least we know it's an issue we can fix then :)

We've had a few other reports of the wallpapers not working correctly with 12.0.1 on some systems, so we're working on it and will be sure to let you know when it's all fixed up.

Regarding the context menu, if you haven't rebooted already since rolling back, could you give that a try to confirm it doesn't just need a fresh boot for any files that were in use during the install?

Reboot didn't fix the context menu.

It's interesting, because it's not completely non-responsive; it's trying to launch. There are two brief moments over four seconds or so where the hourglass appears. DisplayFusion, DF Hook App, and DisplayFushion Hook App (32 bit) pop up in Task Manager. Nothing launches on-screen, however.

Are you comfortable with browsing the registry? If so, could you navigate to the key below and send me the value from there?

Code

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\DisplayFusion.Settings\command

I posted in the other similar thread that a clean install (of 12.02 beta) fixed all my issues.

Lemme know if you still want the regkey.
