I'm trying to set a webpage (https://bitcointicker.co/) as a background, but when I set it the cookies notification at the top can't be accepted as the page (background) isn't clickable.

Is there any way to accept these cookies? I tried opening with the default browser (Chrome base Edge) and accepting there first, but it made no difference.

Same issue if I try to set the same webpage as a screensaver.

So, I got the wallpaper working by allowing interactions, and thought by accepting cookies there it might share that with the same site when used as a screensaver...

But it didn't work. The cookie banner is still there, and I obviously can't interact with the screensaver as any input turns it off.

Is there a workaround?

Actually, bigger issue, the site I want to use doesn't actually work as a screensaver - nothing updates (graphs etc.).

Hello,

We currently don't support cookies on sites that require interaction for screensavers, because as you already mentioned, it requires input which stops the screensaver.

Is the site you are having issues with as a screensaver the same one you mentioned earlier? (https://bitcointicker.co/)

Thanks!

Yes, the same one.

Hi Marc,

This is because .NET Framework uses Internet Explorer as the browsing engine. An update has been released about a month ago to use Edge as the browsing engine, so we're hoping to get it integrated later this year, as long as it's stable and backwards compatible.

We'll be sure to let you know if/once we can get it integrated.

Thanks!
