My graphic card is 4080s with HDMI, 3 DP ports. Also have HDMI on the mother board. Here is my set up.
1. TV set up : only the HDMI on graphic card
2. Normal Dual setup: 1dp and 1 HDMI on the motherboard
3. Triple set up for Sim racing: 3 DP from graphic card using DP splitter to active.
Everything working fine at first, but now if I don’t unplug the hdmi for TV or turned the tv on, the normal dual set up won’t work, the monitor will just go off. It’s very annoying, Sometimes after I played game on TV, then I have to go down to desktop to unplug the hdmi, otherwise I have to keep the TV on to continue daily work for my normal set up. Do you have any idea why?
I try to find settings in TV but i dint find any useful set up. If I turned off the TV, all my dual monitors will go off, very wired.
Thank you very much. I will attched my "noral set up".
Yours Xin

Could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Hello,

Thanks for sending that over. Can you update to our latest beta, re-create your monitor profile, and send over another log? You can grab the beta here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/

Thanks!

Thanks for sending that over, I don't see any errors in there. Are able to enable that second monitor via the Windows Display Settings?

Interesting, does the same issue happen if DisplayFusion isn't running?

Yeah strange I can't say I've seen that before. There's a thread here of people experiencing the same issue, sounds like Microsoft hasn't fixed it but there might be a setting in your TV that you can adjust: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/why-is-my-second-monitor-turning-off-when-i-turn/189f9f06-4a21-431f-b7e3-e7acf909233e?page=1

Hope that helps!

Is it an HDR TV by any chance? I have the same issue, but it didn't occur with my SDR TV. My solution to this problem is creating separate display profiles, with the TV only active when I'm going to use it. I have created shortcuts for switching between the different profiles.
