Hi,
Since rebuilding my laptop to Win 8.1, and moving to DF 7.3 (and 7.3.1), I'm having two problems with DF on multi-monitors.
1) The image for the left-screen is calculated correctly, but then also applied to the right screen using the same offsets and filling any extra space with plain black (not the background colour).
2) When I undock/redock the laptop, the image path is lost.

It's such as shame as DF 7.2 on Win 7 was wonderful.

Are there any known conflicts with Intel graphics drivers or Win 8.1 technologies that might be causing this?

For #1, do you have any other Windows 8 machines that you sign into? I'm wondering if the Windows 8 wallpaper sync might be affecting it.

For #2, when your laptop is docked, do you have 2 external monitors, and the laptop lid closed?

Thanks Keith.

Windows sync-settings is turned off, no associated OneDrive account.
It seems to work well until the first change in resolution, after that it's messy. This definitely feels like an app-conflict with either Win-8 or Intel GFX competing with DF over setting wallpaper.

On the loss of image, as you note, two screens and closed lid, or no screens and open lid. The laptop's native screen isn't showing as an option when the lid is closed.

Ok, thanks! I'll test that docked/undocked scenario.

You can fix up the other issue by enabling the two options shown in the attached screenshot :)

Thanks!

Good news! I've finally figured out how to reproduce this issue. I've added it to our list and we'll be sure to let you know when we're able to get it all fixed up :)

In the meantime, you can work around the issue by creating two separate Wallpaper Profiles (one for docked, one for undocked), and two Monitor Profiles. Then link the Wallpaper Profiles to the Monitor Profiles, and DF will automatically select the correct one based on which Monitor Profile it detects. Details on Monitor Profiles here: http://www.displayfusion.com/KB/MonitorProfiles/

Thanks!

I believe we've gotten this fixed this up in the latest DisplayFusion 9.0 Beta, available here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta. Would you be interested in giving it a try and letting me know how it goes?

Thanks!
