I have hotkeys set to change monitor profiles and I have a window position profile tied to those.

I have noticed that when I use the hotkey to change these, it can take something like 10-20 seconds for the window positions to change.

My use case is that I am using picture by picture mode on a super ultrawide monitor so for most of the day I have two computers shown on the display, with my PC running DF in a 11:9 aspect portion. When I'm done with work, I disable PbP on the display and use a hotkey to enable splitting the screen in Displayfusion, with my open windows moving to better positions to make use of the whole display.

This works fine otherwise but the window position switching takes a long time to trigger and hitting the hotkey again does not help.

I am using 9.7 beta 10, same problem on 9.6.1.

This delay is built-in, to allow time for the monitor configuration to finish changing completely. However, I'm thinking that maybe we can remove or shorten that delay if it's only the splitting layout that's changing.

Is your actual monitor configuration changing at all, or just the splits?

In this case only the splits, Displayfusion does not seem to detect that I enable PbP mode either despite resolution changing, probably because the display itself does not change. It does seem to work if I disable PbP mode though, DF detects that.

I think making the delay a configurable advanced option would work best if that is possible or a per profile setting.

Ok, thanks! I think we will start with eliminating the delay if it's only the split layout that changes and then go from there.
