We haven't run into that one before! Does it crash as soon as it starts? And does it happen every time, or was this the first time?
Thanks!
Ok, hopefully it was just a one-time thing, as I can't seem to get it to happen here. If it keeps occurring, please let me know and we'll go from there.
Thanks!

It has happened to me a few times. Latest was this morning. Happened again. I had Chrome, Calibre, Elements Organizer, Elements Editor open, with several tabs running on Chrome. Background apps included Google Drive, Weather Network, Malware Bytes Premium, Display Fusion, Windows Defender, Everything, Last Pass etc. running.

Went off to make coffee and when a returned a few minutes later, Left-hand screen (Digital) was black, Right-hand screen (analog) was red and everything was frozen. Did a hard boot, got the white on black message saying select boot device. Rebooted to BIOS, reselected Drive C as boot device, saved and exited. PC rebooted normally.
Some combination of those open programs prompts a crash when Fusion goes to screen saver. This must have started after one or the other of the aps was updated. Lost in the mists of time, of course.

@Paul: If you were getting boot errors at the BIOS, that sounds like a failing hard drive to me. I would definitely recommend backing up your data!

I do that regularly. I use an SSD for my hard drive. Fault only occurs when Fusion goes to screen-saver and the right combination of tabs/aps are open.
And if you disable the DisplayFusion Screen Saver and just set your screen saver via the Windows settings, this never happens?
Which screen saver do you have selected in DisplayFusion?

Fusion manages the Screen Saver. I use DisplayFusion Photos Screen Saver and have done for years. This is a recent development and as I said, I suspect conflict with another program which though previously innocuous, has been updated and now interferes. My favourite villains for this sort of thing are Google Chrome and Adobe Photoshop Elements 14. It's not a huge problem, now that I know how to fix it. I'll try and pay more attention to how I leave the PC so I can provide more clues.
But seriously, when are you guys going to let me use Fusion as a viewer of my photo files? They look terrific spread across two monitors and the top and bottom crop often displays features in them in a way that I had not noticed before. I think you're missing out on a nifty product.
Ok, sounds good!
You're just looking for a simple photo slideshow app, that's basically the DisplayFusion Photos Screen Saver but can be run on demand?
