I have three monitors and I am using windows 10.

my first issue with windows 10, before display fusion was installed. is that when you lock the computer.. (with the windows login showing).. two of the three monitors would be "black" and would not turn off or do anything. the third monitor would show the windows login, background and picture.. (not a screen saver)

what I like to do is after a windows session is over.. that the system would be locked, waiting for user input but would display a screen saver across all three monitors... if that is not possible I like for the two monitors that are on with a "black" background to go into power saving mode, with the third monitor either showing the windows login alternating backgrounds or just go to sleep mode waiting for user input. (locked)

can I do this with display fusion? if so.. I haven't figure it out. I tried different settings... I actually can't seem to get the screen saver to launch at all..

can anyone help with this?

Thank you!

Thanks for checking out DisplayFusion! Unfortunately it's not able to do either of those things, sorry! Windows limits the lock screen image to the primary monitor, and it's not possible to sleep specific monitors, it's an all or nothing deal :(

what if the lockscreen is disabled... and a screen saver is activated.. could the behavior be such that when the screen saver is launched, after user activity, that a lock screen be launched?

right now I can't even get a screen saver to run.. the behavior is that it goes immediately to a lock screen... how do I get the screen saver to launch? and then a lock screen to pop up after the screen saver is deactivated ?

If you setup the screen saver on the Settings > Screen Saver tab and enable the "Require password" checkbox, it should work that way. It will start the screen saver after the timeout specified in the settings, and when you move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard to exit the screen saver, it will show the lock screen.

odd, I can't seem to get the screen saver to launch after the time set. it just sits there with the screens on... any ideas on that one?

also.. is there a short cut to force a launch of the screen saver? like there is to force a windows screen lock (Windows KEY + L ) is there such a shortcut for screen saver launch?

You can assign a key combination to the "Start Screen Saver" function on the Settings > Functions tab.

If you exit DisplayFusion and set the screen saver using the Windows settings, does it start after the timeout?
