I have a few issues with the Start Menu on Windows 11

1. It opens on the primary monitor first, closes, then opens on the secondary.
Before trying out DisplayFusion as a companion for multimonitor issues, I was using ExplorerPatcher and they had this issue solved on their end, I wonder if both programs coexist together if DisplayFusion is unable to fix this issue.

2. Clicking the volume button on the second screen makes the volume menu appear on the primary monitor, which then disappears (Like the start menu) but doesn't show up on the secondary monitor at all.

Nope, just tried to have both simultaneously (with DisplayFusion's "Windows Key Opens Secondary Start Menu" disabled), and the start menu appears off-screen on the secondary monitors if DisplayFusion is turned on, albeit it does open on the right monitor.

We poll for these windows to open before we move them over, so they will appear on the primary monitor first. The volume window should be getting moved over though, could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks for sending that over. Can you update to our latest beta and see if the issue persists? You can grab it here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/

It works once every once in a while, in 15 tries only one worked. I've attached the new logs.

It doesn't look like a log got attached in that file, could you try the following steps?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

Thanks for sending that over. If you restart your computer does it work for a bit before it happens, or does it break right away?
